Product Description
Organoclay Rheology Modifier HL-19BHL-19B organic bentonite is a high purity montmorillonite modified by organic cations ,which is hydrophobic and oil-affinity rheological additive.
HL-19B is a dispersible organic bentonite, which is easy to disperse in medium and low polarity organic coatings system and provides excellent anti-sagging and anti-sinking performance. It can also be used in other higher polarity systems. Recommended for use in polyurethane systems, aliphatic systems, printing inks, sealants and alkyd system ceramic coatings.Product FeaturesComposition | Organically modified bentonite |
Exterior | Milky white to grey white powder |
Moisture content (%) | ≤3.50 |
Fineness (325 mesh) | ≥95.0 |
Application Various coating for vehicles
Industrial coating
Wood primer and finishing coat
Decorative coating and Enamel
Architectural coating
Printing ink
Other systems such as Aliphatic, long oil alkydMain CharacteristicsNo pre gel required.
No need to use polar activator.
Easy to use under poor dispersion.
Excellent thixotropic properties.
Preventing Pigment and Filler Settlement during Storage.
It can prevent the layering of coatings and the precipitation of supernatant liquor.
Higher cost performance.Usage and dosage HL-19B is a rheological additive for dispersible organic bentonite, whcih can be easily dispersed by direct addition in the manufacturing process without using polar activator first.
Under normal circumstances, HL-19B does not need to make pre-gel, but it can be added after the production process permits.
General purpose paint and coating production equipment can provide the HL-19B with sufficient shear force to achieve optimal performance.
Dosage
The amount of HL-19B added depends on the type of organic, the degree of thickening and other rheological properties.
The use of HL-19B is 0.15%-2.0% of the weight ratio of the whole system. The optimum dosage must be determined through the experimental process.
Efficient dispersing equipment and technology can better optimize the performance of HL-19B, reduce the effect of usage, and achieve maximum economic benefits.
Accurate dosage should be determined in order to obtain the best effect.FactoryEquipmentExhibition
